The Importance of "Whole System" Thinking in Innovative Process

As an artist and a creator, I am constantly challenged to work at balancing out my "left" brain skills in order to manifest all the great ideas that coming in through my "right" brain (and/or team up with those skilled in the areas that I am not). This is and has always been one of the great dilemmas for artists and creatives. Thus, the proliferation of agents, biz managers, and lawyers exist in the entertainment business leaving the creatives free to do the work that comes easier for them.

When the resources are not available to hire those who do the work we often don't feel comfortable doing, we often have to stretch and grow into aspects of these roles in order to accomplish the tasks needed to get done what needs to be done to manifest our "visions."

This, to me is one of the very important components of "Whole System Beingness" which results in greater innovation and keys to effective creative process. "Whole System Thinking" meaning the right and left brain activating and "Whole System Beingness" meaning Left/Right brain activation and balancing and balancing and activating the four aspects of the Self; the physical, emotional, mental and the energetic/transcendant.

To that end, I found this article today an excellent commentary of the importance of creative thinking in innovation:
