About Me:
Here to re-establish my connection and relationship to Source, knowing all else will unfold perfectly.
I listen, following the flow of synchronicity.

******M i r a n d a R o n d e a u is a singer, songwriter, musician and frame drummer whose music is inspired by the inward journey. Her chanting transcends language, bypasses the intellect, and is devotional and invoking in nature.

She has performed and weaved through many circles of communities throughout southern California since 1994, both as a soloist and within various percussion ensembles, performing at colleges, Universities, drum festivals, churches, Womens Conferences/Events, and Yoga & Dance classes.
Miranda is often invited to perform, as the opening music for many events including the
NAFDA concert Tamburi Mundi, Freiburg Germany 2009
Daniel Pinchbeck 2009,
Elevate Film :Parallel University 2009
Project Butterfly 2008-09
Raw Lifestyle Film Festival 2008,
The Good Medicine 2008,
American Frame Drum Gathering 2008,NC,
Gaia Festival 2007,
REMO's Womens Drum Day 2007,
Temple of the Goddess,
REMO RMC Holiday Celebration 2007.
Miranda has studied and performed with pioneers .. Layne Redmond.. and Italian frame drummer, .. Alessandra Belloni.. who are both Remo Signature Series drum artist, authors and recording artists.
Miranda brings her intuitive instinctual experience and relationship to the drum to her performance and workshops.
She has also taught frame drum workshops at the World Sacred Music Festival,Gaia Festival, REMO Music Center, and Bang-a-Drum Drum Store, Goddess Temple OC, Project Butterfly, as well as at yoga studios, mental health centers, universities, colleges and elementary schools.
The frame drum is one of the oldest sacred instruments in the world.
It was used for religious functions, rites of passage, communal bonding, celebration and as sacred technology to change consciousness.

In Layne Redmonds research through her book "When the Drummers Were Women" she discovered a spiritual history of the frame drum in the ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean area, where the predominant players of this drum were the women, the priestesses who honored the Divine Feminine, the Goddess. The drums were played by the hands and fingers.
30 years ago in the U.S, it would have been a rarity, to find a hand played frame drum in the hands of a women. These days, frame drums are found in many households, being played by many women.

Layne Remond has been a pioneer in inspiring women to play the frame drum from across the U.S.A and internationally. Alessandra Belloni has also inspired many.

Miranda created the "Women Frame Drumming" myspace to bring awareness of the presence and growth of women frame drummers around the globe.
She searched and discovered many videos of women frame drumming.
You can find the playlist here http://www.youtube.com/user/shamasmantra
She also started a "Women Frame Drumming" facebook group, where you can find out about workshops, classes, concerts and general announcements in the frame drum world. Feel free to connect there.

Trickster ::Dreams ::Nightmares::Namaste Song::

2010 a beautiful wild roller coaster ride.

Had a dream earlier this week, week of March14th.

I was nearly finishing an ice cream cone, and thought I

would go back to the cart to purchase a second helping.

The cashier was nowhere in sight, but still waited a few moments.

She returns, looks at the last bites of my ice cream

and has an angry look. She has assumed I helped myself

to an ice cream without paying. I understand how it looks to her…

Hi Sweetie, after my exit from Long Beach, I am really trying to love the Sacramento area. I am strongly considering moving back to San Anselmo (Marin) or Long Beach. Yes I am drumming! Starting up new classes and workshops, I will post these as soon as I can. Just landed a Djembe teaching job, pretty excited about that too! I want to thank you for your beautiful spirit. You have been a wonderful friend and an awesome teacher/performer. Tezrah
