About Me:
When I was a little girl, my younger sister and I were dream sleuths. We would discuss their dreams every morning over frosted flakes and compare notes about what we thought our nighttime adventures meant.
When I got a little older I became interested in Carl Jung, Carlos Castaneda and other spiritual and esoteric teachers. These teachings took my understanding of dreams to a deeper level.
Fourteen years ago I became a Certified, Clinical Hypnotherapist. As a Hypnotherapist I began working with clients via their subconscious minds to access their core beliefs, drives, and desires in order to more effectively assist them to heal from past traumas and to align with their future goals.
Over my fourteen years of working with hundreds of clients and their dreams, I began to see the impact that their dreams were having on them. When I realized that there were no other dream books on the market that dealt with contemporary symbols or that synthesized the realm of dream interpretation in the empowering way that I did, I felt compelled to write my latest book, I HAD THE STRANGEST DREAM, THE DREAMER’S DICTIONARY FOR THE 21ST CENTURY.
I am also the author of DISCOVER YOUR INNER GODDESS QUEEN, an Inspirational Journey from Drama Queen to Goddess Queen. My Goddess Queen journey was born from a dark night of the soul (aka a break up with a guy that I thought was my be all end all), that led to the breakthrough of breakthroughs---I found my highest self (and she happened to be wearing a tiara!)
Once I had eyes to see my higher self it became second nature to see it in others…so I began doing Goddess Queen Gatherings. So, you might say that I went from Drama Queen to Goddess Queen to Dream Queen…
My passion in life is introducing people to their most magnificent selves and empowering people to live the life of their dreams.
Over the last few years, with the release of my Dream Book, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel across the country doing Dream Theatre events, book signings, speaking engagements, and TV/Radio interviews…it has been a whirlwind leading me to now be a regular Dream Expert on FOX News New York and on EmpoweRadio.com.
I am the president of the Women’s National Book Association (www.wnba-books.org/la) For the past two years I have been invited to the United Nations to meet with NGOs (non-governmental organizations) around the world. As a result of being introduced to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (goals for combating poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and discrimination against women), I created The Dream Project, a movement for Global change that inspires school children to create solutions for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals…and Last September I was invited to speak at the UN (at UNESCO) to share the Dream Project Curriculum. (www.DreamProjectUN.org).

Being a Conscious Creator is definitely the life for me.

Adventure isn't hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life - facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential.

Conscious Creativity means...
As many mystical theologies teach there is a river of Creativity (love/God) constantly running through our lives, just beneath the surface of our clamoring, busy minds. If we ever feel stuck, writer’s block, abandoned by our muse, it is never about the muse or river drying up, but in our ability to tap into it…when we need to connect to the river, we have to drop into it.

I liken creativity to the mythic tale of Avalon, an island in the stream of consciousness (off the coast of England) inhabited by Goddesses and Druids. Life on Avalon is likened to being “in the zone”. It’s the place we are always trying to get to, where all is beautiful, harmonious, plentiful, and all needs are met. I imagine it to be the Goddess version of the Garden of Eden, Nirvana, Shangri-la...the air is always pure, the food is always fresh, everyone’s intuition is peaked, harmony and serenity abound, the mystical and magical are common place, a sanctuary where love and creativity flourishes, no cell phones or traffic exist…in other words, heaven.

As the myth tells, only people with a harmonious vibration could embark upon Avalon’s shores. When warriors, pillagers and brutes got wind of Avalon and would try to stampede upon its paradise, a mysterious mist would appear that would cloud their way, and thus they would get lost. Defeated as they would make their way back to their village and report, “There is no such place…’tis but a myth!”

As the legend went on to say, fishermen adrift in the waters, reveling in the relaxation and bliss of their connection with the sea, would accidentally discover themselves upon the shores of Avalon.

Avalon is within us all; it is who we are when we are in the zone…when we are tapped into our creative imagicnation…when we are in the flow with insights, when we can imagine in Technicolor with our mind’s eye.

Over the years of being a Hypnotherapist, author and Dream Coach, I’ve often discovered myself, like the fishermen, upon Avalon’s shores. When this happens, I feel like the most creative person in the world, time disappears, and find myself in such a state of joy I never want it to end. Without meaning to, I’ve developed several techniques to get me through the mist of my mind and into Avalon’s embrace, on command. My favorite and most surefire tools are praying and playing… the bookends to conscious creativity.

As far as playing is concerned…music always inspires my creativity to the surface, a walk around the medicine wheel here at Garden of the Goddess always re-activates my Avalonian sense of wonder.

As for Prayer, the following is an example of one of my 7-step prayers (adapted from the Science of Mind sprinkled with a dash of my own creation, of course!):

1.) Release- With every breath I take, I release and let go of all hurry, worry, scurry, flurry, all distractions in my mind, all adrenaline in my body.
2.) Embrace-I now embrace with every inhale the light that lights up all people in this world, the power, love, intelligence, and creativity of this universe…
3.) Recognition-I recognize that this power of love, beauty and creativity is what governs this universe…it is everywhere, right here, right now, flowing through me.
4.) Unification-I am one with the power that governs the universe…this power that created me is what creates through me, as me, in me, always and in all ways.
5.) Realization-There is nothing in my way to expressing all that my soul desires to express…this entire universe is supporting me, guiding me, embracing me, leading me with every breath from glory to greater glory.
6.) Thanksgiving-I give thanks for knowing that I am indeed synched up to all the creativity in the universe, and that my creativity is flowing naturally, joyously, and effortlessly.
Release-As I release and let go of any expectations and any preconceived ideas about the way my creativity should look, I detach from the outcome, I let go of my will as I turn it over to THY will. Amen, A-women!
My vision of the future:
A world that works for everyone...where self-expression, passion, compassion, creativity abounds...a world in which the Millennium Development goals are fulfilled..and children everywhere are empowered!
