Profile Information

About Me:
I am a mythologist, writer, producer, ritualist, interfaith minister, and Naditu (a Sumerian word for Priestess of Business). I am dedicated to supporting the arts, artists and their visions to whatever extent I can. I am the mother of a 20 year old actor, artist, musician, and writer.

I am the founder and director of Temple of the Goddess (www.templeofthegoddess.org), one of only a handful of federally-recognized Pagan/Goddess churches in the U.S. TOG is a family of spiritual artists that honor the cycles of the Earth with celebrations of seasonal Sabbats. The Temple Sabbats are ritual theater that combine mythology and art to re-connect us to the Earth as well as strengthen our connection to the Earth. Our multi-media programs combine myth, music, dance, liturgy, spoken word, visual art, and participatory theater which fuses drum and dance with personal enactment. These multi-cultural events are directed toward family and community and are held at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena, California. For more information about our Sabbat events, go to http://templeofthegoddess.org/Events/togsabbats.htm

I also incorporated another 501c3 organization, Nine Muses Arts, whose mission is to support emerging artists through seminars, networking, screenings and events, as well as offering assistance to artists seeking grant funding to develop and present their works. Nine Muses Arts is a non profit multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, educational and arts advocacy organization that raises consciousness about the human condition and explores the connection between art, healing, and spirituality. Nine Muses Arts seeks to explore the boundless expressions of human consciousness–the mind, the spirit, the subconscious, the imagination and the soul–those aspects of humanity which are informed by the collective myth, stories, and dreams. Nine Muses Arts’ purpose is to promote creative expression which enlightens–shines a light on the human condition–past, present, and future through all the arts including, but not limited to: visual arts, music, dance, theatre, performing arts, ritual arts, film, interdisciplinary arts, live arts, literary arts including poetry and spoken word, festivals, the emerging and experimental arts, and multi-media. Our goal is to provide a space for the artistic voice of community to come together in support of one another.

What I enjoy most is creating and writing mythology, both updating and re-telling ancient myths as well as creating new myths and stories–for theater, film, and television. Film and television are the mythology of this millennium, and mythologists have the opportunity to tell the stories that impact and influence people. As a conscious artist, the imperative for me is to create life-affirming mythology rather than fear-based mythology.
Conscious Creativity means...
Being present in the fullness of my humanity and touching the humanity of others. Embracing the unifying power of paradox. Surrendering to the creation of chaos and the transformation that inevitably follows. Releasing ego–being a Hallow Bone for Spirit to fill. Reciprocity. Awake and fully responsive in the moment.
My vision of the future:
To weave the various threads of all my projects into a cohesive tapestry where spiritual artistry shapes the landscape of my life. To foster kindness and respect, daily, and to let everyone in my life know how much I value them. To leave the world a better place.
I am really good at:
Visioning, creating, writing, producing, ritual, mythology, business, supporting artists’ visions, creating spiritual and artistic family, and cooking when I have time.
I could use help with:
Cyber threading. Body Work.
Tools I use...
An expansive heart. Sagittarius visioning. Sense of humor. Computers. Numerous grant listings.
I am looking for (services):
Marketing & P.R.
I am offering (services):
Nonprofit and grant consulting.

Hello Judy, Very nice to find you here, giving me the opportunity to invite you to join our Interfaith World Peace Pilgrimage to Mount Baldy on August 9th (see my site). This event is officially recognized as a Pre-Parliament Event for the Parliament of The World's Religions in Australia later this year. It would be great if you could join us. Blessings, Paul.

Hi Judy! You seem to have a lot of creative power, and your projects have an awesome intention. I could use some business consulting/grant writing. I am a Shiatsu and Thai massage therapist/body worker, and Wu Style Tai Chi instructor. Perhaps we can help each other.

Much love,
Daniel Lee
