Profile Information

About Me:
I am a storyteller, a writer, a facilitator and a catalyst. I love old houses, new ideas, ancient footprints and fertile soil.
Conscious Creativity means...
The ability to evoke old stories to help people uncover new ways of thinking...with an eye to common understanding and the embrace of new solutions to breaking unhealthy patterns gently...
My vision of the future:
Is still forming. I would like to be able to help people unleash their potential, either through my stories, helping to provide opportunities for epiphanies.

And I want to reach new levels of my own potential, as a collaborative partner in the process of communication.
I am really good at:
Writing to evoke memory, baking bread, creating things with my hands and listening. I am good at creating concepts and daydreaming, brainstorming and writing other people's stories, as well as my own...
I could use help with:
Making a sustainable living by doing what I love best.
Tools I use...
Computer, books, research, deep and thoughtful conversation.
I am looking for (services):
I'm not sure yet--perhaps after I've had a chance to get to know you all!
I am offering (services):
...to get to know this community to see what gifts I can share.

Line 'em up, head 'em out, Rawhide! Word Herding...

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about the nature of language. Makes sense. Writing is my main creative outlet, and this community has awakened my desire to explore my craft in new ways.

It occurs to me that I have become a Word Herder.

I used to think of words as static building blocks that were sort of plug and play. They had a syntax, an order. They were supposed to mean the same thing to me that they meant to everyone else; those… Continue

Cata(c)lysm and The Smallest Thing

Alchemists and Change Agents?

Maybe our wands are laptops, our smoking laboratories are coffee shops, our secret enclaves social networks like C3...

Wizards lurk under our skins. Not robed and cloaked figures that wander in shadow memory, but those who search for Philosopher's Stones in forum threads and conversations. Perhaps I am understanding Deepak Chopra's Way of the Wizard better… Continue

The Cranky Muse Speaks: Now we're getting someplace.

Muse here.

So, now my human counterpart (Dylene) has uncovered an uncomfortable thought about her own creative blocks. This conversation isn't quite what I had in mind, but that's the joy of being a Muse. Never know where it's headed.

If you've followed this blogline, you know that Dreamwork surfaced, and that led to some understanding about creative roadblocks. And once… Continue

The Cranky Muse: Under The Ice.

So, I woke up this morning thinking about what My Muse said in her last post.

And also the Gift of Dream She sent. It left tattered edgy sweat all over me at 3:00 AM. No gentle notebook suggestions.

I had a nightmare.

Trying to rescue my daughter from drowning in thick blue water, after the ice covering it shattered under our feet. Giving her mouth-to-mouth as I tried with all my strength to pull her to shore as bone-chilling water soaked her heavy… Continue

The Cranky (Misunderstood and Underappreciated) Muse Speaks

Well, all right then.

Since my human counterpart got some airtime, it's about time I cleared some of this up. I am the "Cranky Muse". I'm not sure I've earned that title, and I hate to be labeled that way. So that's the first thing.

I wanted to talk to you Creative Types. I am in touch with a couple of your Muses, and they've asked me to start a conversation with you.

What the heck happened to the crayons?

When you all were young, it was… Continue

Hi Dylene, glad you're ready to play again.  I'm going back into my cave or rather out into the spheres writing a libretto and songs for a new musical.  I love meeting people like yourself on this site.  Happy creating to you and I hope we can become good friends.  Love  Vicki

Thanks again for the invite to connect as a C3 friend. I hope to connect further. I see your sister is a graphic designer in PA. I have worked with many graphic designers. I am a professional illustrator although doing more wriiting and teaching these days. I hope you get a chance to listen to the audios I posted and offer your thoughts and words about the Inner Peace Treaty™ project.

Peace nouvella,

Thanks for the invite, sis. I can already see that this will be a wonderful playground for several of my "facets". I am looking forward to the Play immensely!

Do you think if you gave your muse love she would be around more? Perhaps you have internalized those report card comments -- now you can embrace that part of you!
