Daniel Lee is the founder of Being Balance, and is featured as an expert in Taoist Arts at GrooveTemple.tv. He has dedicated his life to the Taoist practices, and to spreading the teachings to people across the world. He is committed to the authentic transmission of the Taoist Arts, so that people may enrich their lives and improve the quality of their health.
As a disciple of Sifu George Liew (Hong Kong Tai Chi Association, Cheng Ting Hung lineage), and as a direct student and certified teacher under Taoist Grand Master Mantak Chia, Daniel Lee is highly qualified as a teacher of the Taoist Arts.
The Being Balance System was created to integrate Taoist Healing Arts with our contemporary lives. Daniel Lee’s modern approach to teaching traditional tai chi forms helps people to gain a deep understanding of Tai Chi Chuan. He is known for his ability to make the Taoist practices accessible to the West, and his classes move beyond the physical practice to include the energetic practices of Tao Yin Yoga, Taoist Meditation, Healing Love, and Iron Shirt Chi Kung.
The goal of the Being Balance System is to create space for quiet and peace in one’s daily life, to restore harmony to the mind, body, and spirit; and to give people tools to discover their own personal Tao, or Way.
is to create a Center for Balanced Living, where people can create space for the balanced integration of body, mind, spirit, and community. I aim to empower people to lead inspired, sustainable, and balanced lives.
My goal is to manifest a physical location, approximately 20 acres: The center will include solar farming, organic agriculture, workshop spaces, treatment rooms, Japanese garden and Onsen baths, and guest accommodations. The community will have access to learning about sustainable living, technology, and agrigulture, healing and martial arts, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, dance and music traditions... and unlimited possibilities for personal growth and community...
I am really good at:
Making the Taoist Arts accessible to the West, Teaching Classes and Workshops, Writing, and Editing
I could use help with:
Finding Workshop Spaces and Marketing
Tools I use...
Tao Yin Yoga
I am looking for (services):
Spaces to teach Tai Chi, Workshops, and Retreats
People who have land and share my vision
I am offering (services):
Group and Private Instruction in:
Wu Style Tai Chi (Cheng Ting Hung Lineage)
Tao Yin Yoga
Iron Shirt Chi Kung

Thank you Daniel, for the welcome, and for checking out (it) magazine. Your vision for a center for Balanced LIving is amazing, and very much needed. Not sure if you envision putting it near LA, but we could sure use that! I look forward to perhaps seeing you at a future C3 or (it) event -- Warm regards, THeresa
I'll be in LA several times in the next month: Sat., 8/15 & 8/22 for workshops in Westwood. I'm also performing at the Talking Stick in Venice on Friday, 9/11, around 8pm. That would be a good place to meet friends.
Love & Blessings,
Yeah, lots of things like that, innovations like community currencies, new mechanisms for citizen participation, new energy technologies, Web 2.0, a whole range of things that are emerging to an extent separately but at some point will converge into a whole new way of operating society. Talking about all the different people and groups involved in this transformation, the subtitle of Paul Hawken's most recent book, "Blessed Unrest," says it all: "How the Largest Movement in the World Came into Being and Why No One Saw It Coming."
Your pursuits sound very inspiring. I have visited Thailand and found it fascinating. Currently I am on short trip in Costa Rica. When I return I hope to get my healing circle off the ground. I don´t seek to be the sole teacher of this circle but rather a member and fascilitator. If you return to L.A. in August it would be grat to have you on board. I´m hoping to attract a small group of people of various backgrounds to work collectively on self and group healing through prayer, meditation, affirmations, gardening, art, cooking and exercise. The knowledge you possess would be a great addition to this circle. Let me know if it´s something you would like to participate in. Also let me know if you are seeking housing in L.A. I have a furnished room available for rent or barter. Blessings, Georgene
